Henry Brown Centre Offers Packed May 2025 Schedule.
The Henry Brown Centre in West Howe is offering a wide array of activities and services throughout May, catering to diverse interests and needs within the community.
Regular Weekly Activities:
- Café: Open for refreshments Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 10 AM to 2 PM, and Friday from 10 AM to 1 PM.
- Community Fridge: A project aimed at reducing food waste and supporting the community, every Monday and Thursday 12 PM – 1:30 PM
- Inspiring Change Charity Shop: Open Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9 AM to 4 PM, offering pre-loved items.
- Lunch Club & Bingo: A social gathering with lunch and bingo every Wednesday from 12 PM to 2 PM.
- Stay & Play Toddler Group: A group for toddlers and their caregivers. (Monday’s during term time)
- ESOL Class & ACE Skills & Learning: Educational classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays 10 AM-12 PM (term time)
- Bring Your Own Craft Group: A space for crafters to work on their projects and socialize, every Thursday 11 AM-1 PM
- Gardening Club: For those with green fingers, Tuesdays 10 AM-12 PM
- Dogs Trust: Thursdays 3 PM-9:30 PM
- RCA Cheerleading: Cheerleading sessions are held on Tuesdays, with sessions for different age groups: 4 PM-8 PM
- C.A.M Club Youth Boxing: Boxing sessions for young people are available on Wednesdays, with sessions for different age groups: 6-7 PM (ages 8-11) and 7-8 PM (ages 12-16).
- Andy’s Man Club: A men’s mental health support group, meeting every Monday from 7 PM to 9 PM.
Special Events/Additional Groups:
- Citizens Advice & Debt Advice Drop-In: Get advice on Tuesdays 9:30 AM-11 AM on 13th & 27th May.
- PCN Cost of Living & Wellbeing Support Drop-In: Available on 13th May from 12 PM to 2 PM, offering support related to the cost of living.
- Women’s Lunch: A new group, will be held 12PM-1:30PM
- Men’s Shed: A group for men to socialise and work on projects, will be held 12PM-2PM
- Gather & Graze Community Cooking: A community cooking event on 13th & 20th May from 3 PM to 5 PM.
- Give & Take: A community event on 31st May, with drop-off from 12 PM to 1 PM and open to the public from 1 PM to 3 PM.
