“Community Mondays” Initiative in Boscombe Offering Free Activities and Connection

A vibrant initiative, “Community Mondays,” is inviting residents to a friendly and accessible space every Monday at The Old School House in Boscombe. Designed to foster connection, well-being, and creativity, these free drop-in sessions offer a diverse range of activities from 10 am to 1.30 pm, with optional extension into the afternoon.

The program aims to provide a welcoming environment for individuals to meet new friends, find peaceful moments, and engage in enriching activities.

The schedule for Community Mondays is as follows:

  • 10 am – 10.15 am: Arrive, Hellos & Welcomes – A gentle start to the day, offering a chance to settle in and greet fellow attendees.
  • 10.15 am – 11.15 am: Get Moving – Community Movers – An hour dedicated to optional movement and physical activity to invigorate the body.
  • 11.30 am – 1 pm: Get Creative – Creative Writing & Crafts – Unleash your artistic side with engaging creative writing exercises and hands-on craft activities.
  • 1 pm – 1.30 pm: Get Nourished – Homemade Soup (ve) – Enjoy a delicious and wholesome homemade vegetarian soup, providing a chance to refuel and socialize.
  • 1.30 pm – 3 pm: Get Gardening – Nature Crafts & Gentle Garden Activity – Extend your stay with nature-inspired crafts and light gardening activities, connecting with the outdoors.

Community Mondays is a project by TOSH (The Old School House), supported by The Outsiders Project and BCP Council.
