Get Stitching for a Good Cause with Bournemouth Social Stitchers!

Hey everyone! We’ve got a fantastic opportunity coming up that combines creativity with community spirit right here in Bournemouth. The lovely folks at Bournemouth Social Stitchers are organising a Foodbank Bag Stitch-In, and they’d love for you to join them!

On Wednesday, May 28th, 2025, from 10 am to 1 pm, you’re invited to the Garden Café on Haviland Road to help turn leftover fabric into practical grocery bags for the Bournemouth Foodbank. It’s such a simple yet impactful way to contribute to our local community and make a real difference for those who rely on the food bank.

Whether you’re a whiz with a sewing machine or your skills are a little… well, let’s say dormant, don’t worry! This isn’t a formal class, but the friendly stitchers will be on hand to offer a bit of guidance and help anyone who needs a refresher. It’s all about coming together, sharing some crafting time, and creating something useful.

The best part is that it’s completely free to participate! However, to make sure they have enough materials and space for everyone, booking is essential.

So, if you’re in Bournemouth and looking for a meaningful way to spend a few hours, why not come along and get stitching? It’s a chance to meet some like-minded people, get creative, and support a vital local cause.
